The dead canary

Poor canary! For days and weeks, he had cheered up our patio. He was the most popular. The one with the chocolate-coloured speck on the head. And this morning, gathered around his cage during recess, we noticed he was not on the hammock where we’d always find him.

El canario muerto

¡Pobre canario!

My granny

My granny spends her time sitting on an armchair and she doesn’t bother anyone. Her hair is white as snow; my hand does not dare touch it. She tells me legends from the past and says that young children were more obedient. I love her very much and I bought this bouquet for her.
