During autumn I was sick. I had scarlet fever. I got red spots all over. Then I was driven to the hospital. I had to stay there for six weeks. Every week my mother came, but she was not allowed to come inside since the disease is contagious. She had to stay in front of a window. It took five weeks, and then I could get up again. But the six weeks were over quickly because I was in good company. After the six weeks were over, I could go home again. I was quite glad that I was healthy and could go back to school.
Im Herbst war ich krank. Ich hatte Scharlach. Űberall kriegte ich rote Flecken. Dann wurde ich ins Krankenhaus gefahren. Ich muβte sechs Wochen da bleiben. Jede Woche kam meine Mutter. Sie durfte aber nicht hinein; denn die Kranheit ist ansteckend. Sie muβte vor einer Scheibe stehen bleiben. Es dauerte fϋnf Wochen, da konnte ich wieder aufstehn. Die sechs Wochen gingen aber schnell herum. Denn ich hatte gute Gesellschaft. Als die sechs Wochen herum waren, konnte ich wieder nach Hause. Ich war recht froh, daβ ich wieder gesund war und in die Schule gehen konnte.
