I think the best perfume is the one that comes from the irreproachable cleanliness of our body and our clothes. What good are the refined perfumes if the skin exhales the typical smell of poor cleaning, if we do not wash our teeth and mouth, before and after meals, thus avoiding bad breath, if we do not frequently change underwear and do not clean our clothes with good care? In addition, artificial perfumes that are used for fashion are not only a source of expenditure, which would be better destined for useful things, but they also constitute the origin of many nervous diseases.
Penso que o melhor perfume vem da irreprensivel limpeza do nosso corpo e do nosso vestuário.
Que importam finos perfumes se a pele exala o olheiro próprio da pouca limpeza, se nāo lavamos os dentes e a bôca, antes e depois das refeiçoes, evitando assim o mau hálito, enfim, se nāo mudamos frequêntemente las roupas interios e nāo escovamos con cuidado as exteriores? Depois, os perfumes artificiais que a moda usa nāo sāo só uma fonte de despesa, melhor aplicada a coisas úteis, como também constituem a origem de muitas doenças dos nervos.
